Angry wind advisory

It's really windy today. I mean, it's usually windy on campus, because it somehow manages to act like a wind tunnel. But today, we have a high wind advisory. When I woke up and checked the weather this morning, this is what I saw:


I wasn't very excited. Then I went outside, because I had to get lunch.


And this is how I felt when I got back. All and all, I've left my dorm twice today, both times because I needed to eat. You have no idea how glad I was that I didn't have to walk to class today. Although, maybe the weight of my backpack would have helped me not get blown around so much?

Emmy Watching

Today's picture, if you somehow can't tell, was not taken on my camera. I guess things like screenshots and Photo Booth are kind of bending the rules, but I'm ok with that. Anyway, I snapped today's picture using Photo Booth while I was watching the Emmys.

One Year Ago Today

About a year and a half ago, I decided I wanted to try growing my hair out. Then, a few months in, I decided to cut it shorter (though not as short as it had been). Finally I decided that I was really going to try growing it out.


I took this picture exactly one year ago from today, shortly after making the decision to stick with growing it.


And this is me today, trying to recreate most of that picture. Look at my hair! This is pretty much the longest it's ever been, which is probably strange for a lot of girls. Exciting for me, though :) Let's see how long my patience with it lasts, and maybe in a year it will be even longer.

We're going to have to work on this...

Indeed, we're very happy looking. But we're also missing most of our bodies and heads. Eventually we kinda got the hang of it:


I guess we need more practice or something? I also just discovered that my camera has settings for different types of pictures, self portraits and a two person self portrait included. Something to look into for next time, I suppose.

These little caterpillar guys are EVERYWHERE right now. They're kinda cute, in a weird, fuzzy sort of way.


At least, they are right now. Give it a few more days and I'll probably be creeped out by how many of them there are...

Wednesday
Perry the Platypus!


One of my favorite gifts ever, my sister B made him for me for Christmas last year. Of course, I had to name him Perry after Phineas and Ferb's pet. He makes sure evil stays away from my stuff while I'm out, and keeps nightmares away when I'm asleep :)

Thursday
Because nobody seems to know what real people look like anymore, I decided to be daring and try a completely makeup free, untouched picture today:


It feels weird, but kinda cool.

Self portrait

Yesterday, being yet another day of rainy boringness, did not provide many opportunities for a picture. So I made a face and snapped a picture of myself.


It's ok, although the flash on my glasses makes it look like my eyes are two different colors, which is kinda weird. I did get an idea while taking it though, so over the next few weeks I think I'll try getting some good picture of my friends and family to post up here, possibly with mini-bios or something. We'll see- just stay tuned :)
